Smoked Garlic

Fresh cut garlic bulbs seasoned with salt, pepper, and your favorite BBQ rub before being drizzled in olive oil and smoked to fragrant tender brown perfection.

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic bulbs whole
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ΒΌ tsp BBQ Rub I used Holy Gospel
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the smoker to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Carefully slice the tops of the garlic bulbs off, about a half of an inch deep.

  • Place the garlic cut side up into the pan.

  • Sprinkle some salt, pepper and BBQ Rub of choice. Drizzle with Olive Oil

  • Place the pan into the preheated smoker and smoke for one hour.

  • Then heat the smoker up to 225 degrees and let the garlic smoke another hour or until softened and starting to brown.

  • Once desired softness is reached, remove from the smoker.

  • Gently squeeze the garlic to remove the clove from the bulb and enjoy as desired.

Notes

You can use an aluminum pan or foil.
Make sure you are using a very sharp knife in order to safely cut the tops of the garlic off.
Smoke times may vary according to your smoker & ability to control the temperature.
